Working with NETEDIT
After manually creating a network in SUMO’s xml configuration files, I installed a GUI network tool that was created specifically for SUMO calle NETEDIT. This allows you to quickly create simple networks. There are many tools available within. Their motto is, if you can do it in SUMO you can do it in NETEDIT. This means you can also use NETEDIT to edit existing networks, either created manually or imported from OpenStreetMap. Very useful. At this point I still find it easier to modify some parameters manually so my previous practice handcoding the config fiels was not in vain!
